About & Contact

Based in Zaragoza, Spain, Tipotecture was founded in 2016 by Pedro Arilla with the idea of designing brave typefaces with a singular flavour. And here we are: an independent digital foundry where we love designing & developing bespoke fonts, selling our retail fonts and doing consultancy about typography.

The word tipotecturetipografía+architecture— is the keystone to understand our philosophy about ‘building’ or designing letters. Is a term we have borrowed from the Dutch typographer Piet Zwart (1885—1977) who named himself typotekt and, in the same way that he built pages with types, we want to construct ideas, emotions and links around a typeface. Yep, we love building letters!
